HI there,

My mate and were chatting away yesterday and we were reminiscing about Brewdog Ghost deer, 22% beer.

I did hear the way they accomplished this was done by Brewing the beer with Champagne yeast rather than Normal yeast, Is this possible without specialist equipment, or should be left as a brewdog only thing?

Maybe try one of our Strong recipes??

It's difficult for us homies to make high alcohol beer that still tastes something like beer. You could look at using a beer yeast for the first few days then introduce a champagne yeast. Also, the yeast needs to be healthy enough to perform secondary fermentation - otherwise, you need to force carbonate.

You may find a high alcohol recipe in the DIY DOG Recipe Listing.
