With winter coming soon (not soon enough considering the heat we have had over summer) I am looking to stock up for the cooler months.
I have recently done an EB porter, vanilla choc milk stout (in the primary ATM) and have some left over carafa II, roasted barley and lactose. I am considering what to do next - a black IPA, devils brew porter, another milk stout or something else.
Any suggestions? Something to leave age for a while would be good as well.
EB Porter (SteveL's) ages pretty well.
I ended up going the Coopers Devils brew porter. It was that or the Baltic Porter clone, may go for that later. I am loving the EB porter as usual, probably the third time I have made it and its awesome.
Have you done a Baltic or RIS before? Worth it for something a bit different and heavy?
Not sure I could handle such high octane brews. Dark brews are a great change up though, and I'm glad it worked out for you.
Cheers & Beers
