V8 Supercars Clipsal 500

V8 Supercars Clipsal 500

Every year in March, the Adelaide CBD is taken over for the largest on-street car race in Australia, the Clipsal 500. And we're taking over the race.

As a major sponsor and the only beer available on track, we're making this year's 500 a Mild event. But as we've said in the past, lower octane doesn't mean less grunt.

With live music, monster trucks, BMX exhibitions, on and off track action, there's bound to be nothing mild about it. This is an event not to be missed.

Monster Trucks

Touted as the world’s newest and most exciting form of racing, the 2015 Clipsal 500 Adelaide will be the first time these 600 horsepower V8 trucks will compete for points outside North America.

Owner and headline driver, Robby Gordon provided an exhilarating preview for Clipsal 500 fans when he took V8 Supercars driver Scott Pye and South Australian Tourism Minister, Leon Bignell for a spin in his 600 horsepower V8 truck, launching it 40 meters through the air on Pit Straight in what will be a teaser to the action-packed entertainment on offer at next year’s event.

Extreme Sports

Twelve of the world’s top BMX Dirt Freestyle riders will compete over four days for $17,000 in cash and prizes at this year’s Clipsal 500 Adelaide.

The Milwaukee BMX RAMPage was one of the most exciting new attractions to debut at last year’s event and is back by popular demand with more riders, bigger jumps and more prize money on offer.

Nissan team owner and V8 Supercars driver, Rick Kelly mastered some new skills on two wheels when he hosted BMX stars Kyle Baldock, Luke Parslow and Cam White at his Nissan garage in Melbourne. Kelly had a few nervous moments sitting on top of his Nissan while Baldock, White and Parslow performed breathtaking flips and tricks overhead.

“The BMX display at the Clipsal 500 last year was quite exciting, the jumps were massive last year so for us it’s great, we get to come to an event like the Clipsal 500 and race on the track and there’s so much other stuff exactly like this going on around the circuit for everyone to enjoy,” Kelly said.
